The location

Nestled between Verona and Padua, Castello Bevilacqua becomes the perfect setting when you dream of a destination wedding in Italy that merges historic charm with contemporary sophistication. The castle welcomes guests with a grand entrance flanked by a cypress-lined avenue, immediately setting a tone of elegance and refinement.

Its versatile spaces allow for tailor-made events depending on the size of the group. A terraced garden on the first level provides a stunning backdrop for ceremonies, aperitifs, and cake cutting, while the elegant internal halls can accommodate groups of up to 150 guests and beyond. The castle also features a second garden on the ground floor, complete with installed lighting, making it an excellent choice for additional celebrations such as welcome parties or farewell gatherings.

Laurenè & Federico — A Fusion of Worlds

Their story began in London, where Laurenè — Carribean from Saint Lucia, with Syrian heritage — met Federico, an Italian with a worldly spirit and effortless charm. Together, they envisioned a wedding that was elegant and modern, yet deeply rooted in authenticity and connection.

Their story became the guiding thread of every moment of the day. Together they sought a union of style and soul—a celebration where love became a universal language.

From Getting ready to Ceremony

The morning began in the castle’s medieval chambers, rich with precious details and paintings from various eras. Laurenè shared the preparation time with her bridesmaids—an intimate moment framed by elegance and history. This serene start set the tone for the ceremony to follow.

The vow exchange took place on the castle’s terrace garden, where the shade of ancient trees and the gentle birdsong offered a naturally poetic ambiance. The decor was minimal yet refined: white and ivory shades, roses planted directly into the ground, and an elegant backdrop composed of transparent vases with single‑type blooms. These elements echoed the statues and putti already present in the garden, weaving the historic architecture seamlessly with the couple’s modern aesthetic.

Aperitif: A Stylish Welcome and Interactive Touches

Following the ceremony, guests moved to the aperitif. The seating chart doubled as a welcome prosecco display—each guest’s name elegantly tagged and placed beside a glass of bubbly. Interactive installations included a webcam mirror in an 18th‑century frame and a vintage phone for guests to record voice messages for the couple—reflecting Laurenè and Federico’s desire to craft meaningful, personal experiences.

Dinner: Historic Halls, Golden Details & Reverted Roses

Dinner was served in the castle’s internal halls, decorated with grand paintings and elegant candelabras. The mise en place featured gold accented plates and a bespoke menu inspired by the castle’s legacy. On the tables floated reverted roses—petals turned outward—in transparent vases surrounded by candlelight, enhancing an atmosphere of romantic sophistication. Every detail mirrored the couple’s vision of timeless luxury.

Evening Highlights: Cake Cutting, Bouquet Toss & Fireworks

As dusk fell, the celebration moved outdoors for the cake cutting. Laurenè then performed for the bouquet toss with her bridesmaids, culminating in a romantic first dance beneath a display of fireworks—an unforgettable moment that bridged ceremony into celebration.

The night soared into full revelry inside a tent on the first floor of the castle. The music blended the couple’s cultural roots: Italian melodies met Caribbean beats and Middle Eastern rhythms. The result was a high‑energy party that felt cosmopolitan, fun and entirely true to the couple’s story.
